Safe Travels

Bush Guru normally tries to enrich peoples’ intellectual perspectives through light and jovial banter.

However, today’s entry, as the tourism high season kicks off in earnest is offered in a more cautionary tone and is based on driving in Botswana. Down the years the main road between Kasane and Nata has been the subject of debate regarding the quality of the road.

A lot of works have been done in the past 18 months although, as has been seen very recently with tragic consequences, the main road south to South Africa is fraught with danger in the form of potholes and animals.

So Bush Guru’s advice today is more of a request; if you’re driving the main road south from Kasane, take your time and keep an eye not only on the road, but the bush as well.

Safe Travels!
